Virtual EventDate: Saturday, January 6, 2024 Time: 8am-12pm Location: Virtual (Links will be emailed to you) Speakers: John McGreal, OD & Rebecca Wartman, OD Classes: 8am-10am Coding, Compliance & MIPS Update by John McGreal, OD This class will review the latest changes in CPT & ICD coding, use of modifiers, surgical billing, documentation guidelines, compliance recommendations, fee schedules and MIPS reporting. 10am-12pm Ask the Coding Experts- A Review of the Current Top Ten Coding Questions by Rebecca Wartman, OD Dr. Wartman dives into the coding questions that are currently on everyone's mind according to AOA Ask the Coding Experts. Dr. Wartman serves as chair of the American Optometric Association Coding and Reimbursement Committee and oversees this member benefit to all AOA members. AOA Ask the Coding Experts is one of the most utilized member services available from the AOA.
Cost: $150 online interactive (per member) $295 online enduring (per member) *Member costs apply to all members of the American Optometric Association, regardless of their affiliate association. Education Credit:Online Interactive January 6, 2024: Watching the virtual event qualifies for online interactive continuing education hours. This event is COPE accredited and approved by the Arkansas State Board of Optometry for distance learning. Four hours are available. Online Enduring: If you need credit for the event but can’t attend the online on January 6, choose recorded event. This qualifies you for COPE credit for online enduring CE and is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Optometry for distance learning . You must pass a test for each class in order to receive credit. You will have access until March 31, 2024.
